Though velociraptors always seem to lose to T. rex in the Jurassic Park movies, the Ford F-150 Raptor would dominate in the world of prehistoric predators.

Its high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 delivers a pulse-pounding 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It can sprint to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.

The T. rex... not so much.

While Autoblog made a funny video comparing a real 2017 F-150 Raptor to a fake T. rex, the latest paleontological research shows that this humorous face-off isn't far from the truth. In fact, the guy running around in a dinosaur costume was probably a more serious contender than an actual Tyrannosaurus would have been.

According to the latest computer models, which take into account the T. rex's weight and bone density, it couldn't have exceeded 12 mph without breaking its own legs.

The F-150 Raptor, meanwhile, can reach 100 mph without breaking a sweat. This lean, mean machine is built for off-road desert racing. Contact Premier Ford Lincoln to learn more.
