True greatness is innovative and incomparable. It creates something where there was once nothing. Such was the case with Henry Ford's Ford 999 Racer, which many consider to be the starting point of America's fascination with racecars. At a production cost of $5,000, this model didn't have a body, a transmission, or even a steering wheel, but it was certainly one of a kind, setting the standard for racing speed and performance. In today's dollars, this model would have cost around $120,000 to create. Hats off to you, Henry Ford, for making that commitment to innovation.
