How Can I Tell My Car Battery Needs Replacing?

The car battery is responsible for powering numerous gadgets and devices in your vehicle. Identifying the warning signs of a weak battery will ensure you do not wind up stranded on the road with a dead battery.

Here are some of the warning signs of a dying battery:

The vehicle needs to be jump started.
The check-engine light now stays lit or is blinking.
The casing around the battery is getting swollen.
The interior lights flicker when you have the car running.
When you start the car, the headlights appear to be dimmer.
Each time you try to start the car, the engine cranks over very slowly.
There is a strange smell coming from the battery compartment.
