The Ford Transit Connect Powertrain Options

Get any job done efficiently in the new Ford Transit Connect. This sought-after cargo van and passenger van is available at Premier Ford Lincoln with two different powertrain options. It also has a unique performance feature that can enhance your drive.

The standard engine option is a 2.0-liter GDI engine. It's an inline-four that gives you plenty of power when you need it most. Also available is a 1.5-liter EcoBlue engine. This engine is an inline-five that uses diesel fuel. Both powertrain options are paired with an automatic eight-speed transmission system. It shifts effortlessly between gears for a smooth ride.

One unique powertrain feature is Auto Start-Stop. It's designed to help you save fuel by reducing waste. When you're stopped in traffic, the engine will shut off. The air conditioning system and infotainment center will stay on. When traffic starts to move again, the engine will kick back on automatically without having to take any additional steps.
